Ready to predict the future?

No, we are not witches, and we don't own a crystal ball, but some predictions can be made by analyzing data. Nevertheless, it's not a perfect science. If these last three years taught us anything, it should be to expect the unexpected.

In this little Christmas gift for you, we are revealing some challenges and opportunities in the industry stated by Forrester, Gartner, IDC, and PWC for this upcoming year. Heads up, these predictions are (unsurprisingly) tech-heavy. The continued embrace of technological innovation is a primary marker of success in our digitally-driven world. Even with a looming recession, IT continues in the spotlight. We can expect a foundation for operational excellence, competitive differentiation, and long-term growth next year.

Cloud, Automation, and AI for the lead

Gartner's Top Strategic Technology Trends for 2023 has named cloud computing an integral component in tech. Enterprises and consumers can now benefit from applications that would otherwise be too complicated or costly. On that note, Gartner forecasts that in 2023, worldwide public cloud spending will grow by 20.7%.

On the other hand, automation will lead the way in tech in the following years. Recent findings from Futurum Research and Automation Anywhere found that 61% of organizations are inclining towards automation to deal with staffing issues. The IDC predicts that in 2025, 60% of infrastructure, security, data, and network offerings will require cloud-based control platforms that enable extensive automation.

AI has been having its main character moment recently. Artificial Intelligence is shifting to a legitimate, must-do priority for organizations. Forrester's Report predicts that 10% of Fortune 500 enterprises will generate content with AI tools in 2023 and that 74% will benefit their organizations from using AI technology.

Sustainability is a priority

As the world is increasingly more involved in the collective fight against climate change, sustainability is an essential corporate strategy. David Groombridge, Vice President Analyst at Gartner, manifested that sustainable technology is a requirement, not an option. Research predicts that by 2025, a new green certification will be displayed by websites using low-energy design and code. By 2027, mobile apps will enable users to track their carbon footprint in real-time. In 2024, an international standard will begin to develop for calculating the carbon emissions of cloud services.

CX and Digital Commerce for the win

As the business landscape has evolved over the last few years, digital commerce reigns supreme. With economic uncertainties, 2023 will become an inflection point in the CX Industry. Technology will lead the way as companies seek to redefine the next era of customer and employee experiences. Technology has given brands new ways to engage with consumers.

The main challenge right now is to humanize the digital customer experience. With upcoming digital transformations, experiences like virtual and augmented reality will become common consumer expectations. Consequently, the lines between physical location and digital commerce will continue to blur, and companies will have to adapt.

But it couldn't be further from the truth. Rest is an essential component of working well and working smart. Your brain is like a car. Getting high-quality rest is the equivalent of pouring a full tank of high-octane gasoline. So, invest this time during the holidays to do something to take your mind off work.

Taking a break is necessary! Don't stress about it. We assure you that it will increase your productivity and you will stay caught up at work.
